Barefoot in the Forest – An Idea for an Outdoor Photo Session

I have known Patrycja for many years – we have shared many adventures together, and each one in some way shaped our perception of the world. I had long felt that her beauty has something exceptional about it – subtle yet mysterious. I wanted to capture that in a frame, so I proposed a photo session.

During our conversation it turned out that our visions differed somewhat. I had my own concept for the shots, but Patrycja had her own idea of how she wanted to be presented. In the end I decided to trust her intuition, which gave the session a more personal and natural character.

For the outdoor setting we chose a forest in late autumn – a time when the light is soft, diffused and has a subtly golden hue that models the silhouette beautifully and highlights the texture of the surroundings. Photographing in such conditions produces plastic shadows and tonal depth, which worked perfectly for our concept.

The deeper we went into the forest, the greater the challenges became – both for me as the photographer and for Patrycja, who had to contend with the cold and uneven terrain. Working in a natural setting requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing conditions – from white balance to the angle of light and the composition of frames in a dynamic environment.

The final result is extraordinary, however – we produced images full of authenticity, raw nature and delicate visual narrative. We invite you to browse the gallery from this session.
